Wokkpash Trail

This backcountry trail makes for a good multi-day adventure, with an abundance of wildlife sightings, fishing opportunities and exploring the hoodoo valley.
Mineral Licks Trail + My Favorites
This is a short hike to viewpoints of the Trout River. Various wildlife frequent this area to lick the soil for its rich nutrients.
Baba Canyon + My Favorites
This popular hike leads up and across Baba Canyon's creek several times and then up to a viewpoint of the MacDonald Valley. Watch for wildflowers, including the rare ladyslipper orchids.
Teeter Creek + My Favorites
Teeter Creek is a 10-minute walk leading to a small stepped waterfall. A small pool in the area can be fished for grayling.
Peterson Canyon Trail + My Favorites
Trail follows a decommissioned section of the Alaska Highway, offering walking and mountain biking opportunities. View original bridges still in place, admiring their longevity and design.
Erosion Pillars Trail + My Favorites
After a long driving trip, Erosion Pillars Trail makes a good short walk, leading up to the base of a naturally formed erosion pillar. Located right across from Rocky Crest Lake, a small pond, enjoy views of the MacDonald River Valley.
Teetering Rock Trail + My Favorites
This a moderately difficult trail that can be done as a long day hike or as an overnight trip. Highlights include views of the Tetsa River Valley. Note, there are limited water sources along this route and during the summer, black bears frequent the start of the trail so extra caution is advised.
MacDonald Creek + My Favorites
This is a good area to spot wildlife including moose, caribou, stone's sheep and mountain goat. During the late summer and early fall, it is a popular hunting route, via horseback.
Tetsa River Bridge #1 Trail + My Favorites
Travel along the Tetsa River to a small pond, offering good birdwatching opportunities and wild berry picking.
